David Guetta is a creative chameleon like no other and with just six chances left to experience the magic of F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! at Ushuaïa Ibiza this summer, let’s take a look at the ever-evolving sound of David Guetta.

French House

“Up & Away” feat. Robert Owens

Before he was a 4-time World’s #1 DJ, and one of the biggest names in music, a young David Guetta cut his teeth as a promoter in the Parisian club scene at the peak of French House. As a promoter, he would book and then warm up for everyone from Carl Cox to Bob Sinclar. During this period, he released “Up and Away” with legendary house music vocalist Robert Owens. House fans are well catered to throughout September with Marten Lou (1st), fellow Frenchman Moojo and the UK’s Joel Corry (22nd), Afro house from THEMBA (8th) and Major League DJZ (15th) and tech house from Phante (29th).

Electro House Titan

“Love Don’t Let Me Go”

This 2002 track was one of Guetta’s earliest hits and was the first time the respected French DJ crossed over into the mainstream music world, charting in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK. The track became an instant classic and was a precursor to the electro house movement that would dominate dancefloors throughout the mid and late 00s. Fellow electro house innovators, Fedde le Grand and Benny Benassi will perform at F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! On 1st and 29th September respectively.

Pop Megastar

“When Love Takes Over” (feat. Kelly Rowland)

This 2009 track marked the beginning of the Frenchman’s unparalleled run of chart-topping pop hits. By uniting the previously separate worlds of electronic music and R&B, David Guetta unlocked the cheat code for chart success and reshaped the music landscape in the process. The majority of pop music from this point onwards would take lessons from Guetta’s merging of the genres during this period. “When Love Takes Over” won the GRAMMY Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, the first of Guetta’s many GRAMMY successes. On 15th September, Guetta will be joined by Jonas Blue, another electronic producer who has made an impact on the pop charts.

Bringing Electronic Music To The Main Stage

“Titanium” (feat. Sia)

Released back in 2011, just as a wave of big room EDM was about to sweep festivals and arenas across the planet. A classic example of the sound, the song’s soaring melody coupled with Sia’s powerful vocals, and plentiful peak-time drops liberally sprinkled throughout, demonstrates exactly why this genre came to dominate festival headline sets. With over 2 Billion streams, “Titanium” was a UK No.1 Single and made the top 10 in 20 countries. For those looking to experience these peak time days once again, Guetta welcomes “Titanium”  co-producer Afrojack to F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! on Monday 6th September.

Relentless Reinvention

“I’m Good (Blue)” (feat. Bebe Rexha)

In recent years Guetta has made an art of reinterpreting classic dance anthems for contemporary audiences, introducing them to clubbers too young to experience their magic the first time. From Haddaway’s “What Is Love” to Alice Deejay’s “Better Off Alone”, Guetta has supercharged these beloved classics. One of the most popular examples is the Eiffel 65-sampling track, “I’m Good (Blue)”, his fourth collaboration with singer Bebe Rexha and his second release to hit over 1 billion streams globally. You can hear these chart-topping singles and much more over the next six weeks of F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! By David Guetta at Ushuaïa Ibiza. Tickets and VIP tables are on sale now.
