ANTS, our Saturday celebration of the most exciting sounds from rising stars and scene innovators, returned with an epic day-into-night Opening Party across Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.
The new era of ANTS began with an enormous volcano towering over our open-air dancefloor. While the volcano smoked and rumbled, Ushuaïa Ibiza's transformation into the new world of ANTS was complete.
Local hero Raul Rodriguez got the dancefloor moving from opening, until Californian house queen HoneyLuv served up a selection of bouncy house music perfectly tailored for the sundrenched dancefloor.
Groove-led rollers courtesy of ANTS favourite Chelina Manuhutu took the audience on a journey through anthems and deeper cuts before Spanish star Wade brought the tempo up to deliver a set of hip hop influenced house and tech.
An unforgettable moment for everyone in attendance, was when the sun began to set as Andrea Oliva and Nic Fanciulli took to the stage for a joyous B2B. The two artists have been part of the ANTS journey since the very beginning and they served up a masterclass of the freshest underground electronics, and ANTS classics that had thousands of hands in the air.
Finally, Berlin techno powerhouse Paul Kalkbrenner wowed the dancefloor with his high-octane live show. Cinematic synths followed fist-pumping kicks throughout an awe-inspiring performance that we’ll never forget.
As the last fireworks erupted into the sky and our part of the Opening Party was complete, the party continued at the World’s #1 Club. with performances from AJ Christou, ARTBAT, Fleur Shore, Franky Wah, Gordo, Mason Collective, Mau P and Tini Gessler.
ANTS continue their residency next Saturday 11th May with a second Day & Night takeover featuring performances from Andrea Oliva, Cloonee, John Summit, Sosa and Viot.
