Our long-running Saturday residency, ANTS, enters its twelfth year in 2025. What started as a small Ibiza workers' party is now one of the most recognisable electronic music brands in the world, with a dedicated international community known as The Colony. From humble beginnings, ANTS has expanded beyond Ibiza to tour the globe with showcases at the world’s best clubs, festivals and electronic music events.
In this feature, we’re looking at how, despite evolving into a global powerhouse, ANTS has retained the same community-first ethos, cementing The Colony, new talent and connection as the heart of all things ANTS.
A PARTY FOR THE PEOPLE
Today, ANTS is a global movement, but the brand’s roots are in Ibiza’s workers' community. In 2013, ANTS began as a day party at the back of Ushuaïa Ibiza exclusively for the people who keep the island moving: the bartenders, the lighting and sound technicians, the production workers, the hospitality staff and many more of the essential roles.
In 2025, we’re honouring our workers' legacy by offering free entry to all Ibiza Workers Pass holders, all day, every Saturday. Excluding select special events like our Opening and Closing parties.
PLATFORMING THE STARS OF TOMORROW
Every Saturday ANTS hosts the most exciting artists from across the globe, but platforming new talent is in the brand’s DNA. Many of the island’s favourite stars honed their skills over seasons with The Colony. In 2023, ANTS: NEXT GEN was launched as an official artist mentorship program, giving artists the guidance and platform to showcase their talent to the world.
This year’s winners, DARKHORSE & Grouse, join previous winners FIRZA and Us Two, gaining a suite of support from ANTS and their partners, and will perform for ANTS METALWORKS at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Saturday 6th September alongside Andrea Oliva, HoneyLuv B2B TSHA, Melé, KILIMANJARO and Dunmore Brothers.
A SOCIAL HUB FOR THE COLONY
The Colony, ANTS’ legion of supporters, are an international community of electronic music lovers. This season, ANTS has created a space for them to meet, socialise and network beyond the dancefloor with the launch of ANTS Social HUB. Hosted at Ibiza Sonica’s Playa d’en Bossa studios, The Colony are invited to connect during the recording of ANTS Radio Show on Ibiza Sonica, watch the live broadcast, meet the DJs and dance together. Previous editions have featured Chelina Manuhutu and Francisco Allendes, with more to come.
THE AUTHENTIC SOUND OF IBIZA
Every Saturday from 3rd May to 4th October 2025, ANTS METALWORKS showcases the sounds that make Ibiza the global epicentre of electronic music. From signature house, techno and tech house grooves, to Afro and Latin house, this is the sound of 2025 on the island. Halfway through the season, ANTS has already hosted an unbelievable list of selectors, with many of the sets available to relive via the United ANTS YouTube Channel. Below are some of our favourites.
GREEN VELVET B2B SKEPTA
Two music icons unite for the first time in history at the ANTS METALWORKS Opening Party. Chicago house innovator Green Velvet goes back-to-back with Grime legend and Más Tiempo boss, Skepta.
GORGON CITY
The pioneers of the 2010s deep house sound, UK duo Gorgon City, delivered an exceptional performance at ANTS METALWORKS in May.
CHELINA MANUHUTU B2B SYREETA
The rolling grooves of Chelina Manuhutu meet the bass-heavy rhythms of SYREETA. Two of The Colony’s most beloved selectors reunite for a tour-de-force of dancefloor energy.
A NEW VISUAL WORLD
In a groundbreaking collaboration, the epic industrial world of ANTS METALWORKS will be brought to life in a series of breathtaking pieces by visionary artist Kelly Boesch. These dreamlike animations blur the line between tech and soul, creating a place where AI meets imagination and every frame tells a story. The series will take The Colony deep inside a realm of robotics, sentient machines and mysterious chromatic ANTS. You can witness Kelly Boesch’s incredible artwork on ANTS social channels, and every week at ANTS METALWORKS.
