Over the years and its subsequent exponential growth, the concept of clubbing that we find in its main ambassador, Ushuaïa Ibiza, has reached the level of EDM totem. In addition to the music, other art forms have gravitated around and developed in unison with this cultural movement, literary, film, photography and sculpture, just to name a few. Cinematography has been especially present, with documentaries that chronicle the musical journey and life of the great artists of the EDM genre.

The number of clubbing documentaries has exploded in recent years, therefore we would like to recommend five essential ones whose protagonists have or have had a close relationship with Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, where every season the best DJs in the world grace our shores with the best music on the scene.

AVICII: TRUE STORIES

Avicii has reached the top of the EDM pantheon faster than any artist before him, from making music in his bedroom to filling out music venues for the best festivals in the world. “Avicii: True Stories” shows the meteoric rise and the struggle of such a journey, from his doubts and worries to the serious health problems that plagued him on his endless tours all over the world.

Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel is also a part of this story, as Avicii´s last performance took place at the Playa d'en Bossa open-air club. An event that after Tim's unfortunate death in April 2018, became a part of the 21st-century history books in the world of music.

LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND WITH SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA

For millions of fans of electronic music, “Leave the world behind” is one of the best music documentaries ever made. It chronicles the up and downs of the Swedish trio, from great musical moments to the tensions that led to the break-up of the Swedish House Mafia in 2012.
