We are one year away from reaching our 11th birthday, the International Music Summit is once again considered as a point of reference for some of the professionals in the electronic music industry. DJs, producers, entrepreneurs, startups and numerous personalities come together at this prestigious annual congress for music lovers hosted by the Balearic island, Ibiza.

At this edition, as has become customary in recent years, the International Music Summit is part of the process of professionalization of the sector, valuing the work of the main artists and professionals in the industry. In addition, the meeting provides coverage and emphasizes certain social aspects such as the general management of the artist and other factors surrounding a profession not yet recognized in some developed countries.

One of the most important data collected from 2018, is that the industry´s annual turnover has exceeded 7,000 million euros globally. It is an impressive figure, considering it has dropped 2% from last year, and all due to the increasing integration of electronic music in other sectors of society.

In this new edition, the focus was mainly on everything surrounding electronic music and its lifestyle. Other themes were the talent and vision of young people, the role of women in the industry, the use of new technologies, the situation of record labels and new destinations for festivals.

The assembly also presented the new “Black Coffee” team, one of the most outstanding events of the season on the island, and the "Annual Ibiza Debate", which brought together industry personalities such as Tamer Malki, Behrouz, Danny Tenaglia, Doumi Busturia, Daniel Schoeps, Jessica Capaz and Paco Osuna.

As to be expected, the attendees enjoyed a very strong and dynamic lineup with the participation of Paco Osuna B2B Andrea Oliva, Peggy Gou B2B Jackmaster, Pete Tong B2B Bedouin, Dubfire B2B Nastia, Danny Tenaglia B2B Guy Gerber, and Sven Väth.

The conferences were held in the impressive congress hall of Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, where a tent was also set up over the main swimming pool, and in other areas of the island, such as the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. In addition, as has become customary in recent years, several events of the International Music Summit were held within Dalt Vila, in a unique UNESCO World Heritage site.
