For yet another summer, Children of the 80s was proof that the 80s and 90s live on. Over 150,000 party goers went to Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza's most popular event over the summer, its fourth season. Four years after it began it's still breaking records with the number of tickets sold. It's where the white island's hardest rockers come together.

Fridays in summer are sacred in Ibiza. It's Children of the 80s night! The Original Gypsies of Camargue, Barbara Tucker, Corona, Ultra Naté, Rozalla, Blackbox, Bonnie Tyler, Sabrina Salerno, La Bouche, 2Unlimited, and a host of other artists and groups of the era took to the stage at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza over the summer of 2018. From 1 June till 28 September, the biggest hits of the 80s and 90s brought thousands of retro style and music fans together to celebrate the weekend's arrival, rocking out on Ibiza's best open air dance floor.

DJs Dream3Team Reload, Toni Peret, Quique Tejada and José María Castells, and La Movida Ibiza with Petit&Vázquez hit the decks each week, playing well-loved classics like "Life is Life" from Opus, "I Will Survive" from Hermes House Band, and Freddy Mercury's "We are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You". In the words of the DJs themselves: "When we play these tracks everyone raises their arms in time with the music, it's epic. It gives us goosebumps!".

Nostalgia for one of the best decades in recent music history has a name: Children of the 80s. The event held at the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is about so much more than music. It's a spectacle. Dancers, décor, lights and special effects get even the most reluctant party goers going! It's sheer adrenaline.

Children of the 80s is colour. It's fun, dance, movement, and light. And it's a way of seeing life. And living it! The music and atmosphere will take you right back. And the clothes and accessories of course - time travel really is possible at Children! From around 7pm till midnight, hundreds of thousands of rockers of all ages teleport themselves back to that golden age when only one thing really mattered: having fun!

And the summer was a record breaking time for charity from the event organisers too, with donations of non-perishable foods totalling 3,717 kilograms brought to a special event on 21 September, 37.37% more than in 2017. For the last three summers Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza has hosted Children of the 80s' most charitable event, with the aim of collecting food donations for those who need it most. And on top of the food, they raised 4,300 euros in cash donations. All proceeds were given to Food for Ibiza, an organisation working with residents in Ibiza and Formentera who are struggling financially and unable cover the cost of basic necessities.
