DJS WHO HAVE REVOLUTIONIZED ELECTRONIC MUSIC.

Electronic Dance Music, or EDM, dominates the scene at clubs and discos around the world. A genre that, without a doubt, is peaking thanks to the level of talented DJs experimenting and playing with their mixers.

The British magazine, DJ Mag – a benchmark in the sector – published a yearly ranking of the best international DJs in the world, highlighting those who are contributing to the growth of EDM. While some names are familiar, some even considered legends, there are also several new faces. Find out who they are.

MARTIN GARRIX

The child prodigy and the future of electronic music. At just 20 years old, and fresh to the game, Martin Garrix has established himself alongside some of the most famous and experienced DJs. With pure drive, he began to mix at just 8 years old and by 12 he was already known as DJ Marty. His fame lies in his ability to give his audience the sound they want, producing number one hits after number one hits.

DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE

This Belgian duo topped the list in DJ Mag in 2015, and since then these two brothers have not stopped, producing hits that have exploded all over the world. In 2010, they landed the spot as hosts of Tomorrowland, one of the most important EDM festivals in the world, and they have continued to participate over the coming years.

HARDWELL

Hardwell’s musical trajectory is impeccable, from the moment he began to mix at a young age, until now, he already has amassed countless hits. His most famous being Spaceman, which exceeded 3 million in sales in 2012. But if there is something to know about Hardwell, it is the passion and energy that he puts into each of his tracks. In fact, to this day, his sets at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival have gone down in history.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN

A DJ who has contributed significantly to the growth of EDM, Armin Van Buren has been named number one by DJ Mag four consecutive times and five in total (the only one to date).  Currently, he hosts a radio show called "A State of Trance", which has over 20 million weekly listeners worldwide.

TIËSTO

The long, successful career of this DJ has helped him become a household name in electronic music. Not only does he have a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in Amsterdam, but he has also won a Grammy for his remix of the song “All of Me” by John Legend and is the first DJ to play live at the Olympic Games. The EDM revolution runs deep through the mixing tables of these DJs, some of which we will be lucky enough to see, and hear, this summer at Ushuaïa Ibiza.
